NOV. 13, 2010 (Saturday). 13th Annual New Mexico Chess Fest. Tournament for K-12 scholastic chess players with USCF rated and unrated sections. New Mexico State Bughouse Championship to follow main tournament, for adult and scholastic players. Sandia Prep Russell Student Center, 532 Osuna Road NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113. DEC 4, 2011 - New Mexico Grade Level Championships, Albuquerque, NM.  This tournament will establish the 2010 NM State Champion in each grade K-12.  A total of 50 place-trophies will be split amongst the sections based on registrations, with many additional honorable mention trophies. Tournament is hosted at the Albuquerque Marriott. FEB 19, 2011, 35th ANNUAL NEW MEXICO GRADES K-12 CHAMPIONSHIP. Santa Fe, NM.

MAR 3, 2011 (Thursday).  NMAA NE Regional High School Team Tournament.  At McCurdy School, 261 McCurdy Road, Española.  Open only to NMAA member high schools in NE chess region.  Winning teams qualify for state championship April 8-9 in Albuquerque.  Two divisions:  3A-5A (6-player teams) and A-AA (5 player teams).  Three rounds (10 am, 11:45 am, 1:30 pm), G/50.  Teams must check in by 9:30 am.  Registration form must be received by Sat. APR 2, 2011, 32nd ANNUAL NEW MEXICO GRADES K-6 CHAMPIONSHIP. Albuquerque, NM.

APR 2, 2011, DENKER PLAYOFF FOR K-12. Albuquerque, NM.

APR 8-9, 2011 (Friday evening and Saturday).  New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) High School Team Chess Championship.  In Albuquerque, site TBD.  Open only to NMAA member high schools that qualified at their respective regional tournaments.  G/75.  Large high schools (·3A-5A) play one match Fri. eve. and three on Sat.  Small high schools (A-AA) play three matches on Sat.  Registration fee $40 per school.  For additional information, Andy Nowak at anowak@cybermesa.com, 505-988-1570.
